陌生人约会
"BLIND DATE "的中文意思为"相亲"与"陌生人约会"，展开来说，即是人们为从未谋面的男女所安排的约会。 当然，策展人确立这个主题，并不是为了安排一场简单的"玫瑰之约"，而是希望通过这种刻意、独特的语境安排，让不同语言、文化背景下的六位中国艺术家与六位（组）德国艺术家展开对话。在展出方式上，则期望中德艺术家在美术馆每个特定空间里进行一对一"捉对"交流，通过作品构成零距离互动的实验语境。
中德艺术家互相完全处于陌生的状态，对彼此的艺术水准、作品形式全都一无所知。在这种情况下，策展人主观挑选异国艺术家"捉对"交流、共同展出，肯定有武断之嫌。所以在德中艺术家"配对"问题上，采用的是颇有游戏、赛事色彩的抽签方式。这次展览推出的作品大多采用装置、录像、图片与多媒体互动等具有当代艺术特性的媒介。展览的视觉效果很可能是中德艺术家的一次" BLIND DATE"式的非同寻常的文化对话，而不是文化竞技。由于是初次谋面，两国艺术家可能暂时搁置文化对抗和文化冲突的诉求，积极寻求相互沟通、理解和彼此包容。因此，不同的艺术属性与社会形态下产生的艺术差异性将在此次展览中得到较充分的呈现。
中国艺术家 翁培竣的《垒卵计划》，脆弱的蛋壳与强悍的武器坚实的建筑听起来完全没有关系，作者却将这两个完全不同的元素相结合。进攻性、坚实与脆弱，这样的结合不是调侃，隐藏在这背后的，却是对我们生活的这个世界是否真是如它所展现出的那样强大的严肃思考。
而德国艺术家Carsten Gliese 的作品《盒子》艺术家将照片与建筑、雕塑、空间混合在一起，组成对话。真实的三维空间与照片的二维空间相交汇，这个不真实的如地毯似的影象，投在白色的地面，路边的基石和被围起来的草坪上，隐秘的光源让这个空间充满神秘感。
黄学斌的《万丈光芒》 用夜视的手法拍摄，以往的作品中只有一个孤独的女孩，现将太空人加入了他的创作里，孤独的女孩与太空人，怪诞的画面与空荡的大街宛如梦境。
郭术君的《商场》里，艺术家用广角拍摄大型商场，看似热闹非凡的空间，其中却透露出一种莫名的寂寞与空洞。
谢献文的《时尚男人》，当下最流行的话题、事件：超女、社会保险、子女教育这些问题都通过可爱的卡通娃娃说出。金钱、名牌、偶像…… 昭示着社会的浮躁，中国的文化正在被娱乐化的导向不知名的彼岸。我们该留住些什么，我们又该追求些什么呢？
王小飞的《搞什么飞机》中2000 架小飞机整齐列队，在画面里做起了队形变化，一会出现标语，一会又排列成一个巨大的飞机…… 飞机隐藏着进攻性，但是出现的却是"搞什么飞机"这样无厘头的标语。而列队的小飞机很像是最早的红白游戏里的飞机游戏，但经过大量的堆积给人隐隐的压迫感。是武器？还是游戏？
Anja Jensen的《太平洋航空高速游艇》像是集装箱正在通过 X 光检查一样，箱子里的游艇一览无余，我们的社会也是如此，隐私？哪还有什么隐私。在X 光下任何事物都将不再神秘。
参展的艺术家构成了整个展览的二元结构，这样的结构恰恰是文化差异的具体表征。"BLIND DATE "展览的二元结构既突显了全球交流语境的真实情形，又昭示了国际社会艺术系统中不同文化影响力的微妙关系。展览一旦发生，势必生动地上演两国艺术家相遇后有趣而又有意义的平等对话。然而，每个艺术家想要表达的是否都能够找到真正的听众？听众是同一展出空间中的异国艺术家？还是普通观众？交流是否能从互相观看，递进到互相沟通和深度对话？这正是这个展览所期待的。

Blind Date
To Chinese, "Blind date" means "to date with a stranger". In other words, it means the date between people who have never seen each other. This exhibition puts six artists from China and Germany together for a contrast and comparison of their works styles and cultures. The exhibition will team artists to express themselves. The result will be a special environment showing a multinational teams "works".
It is understood that, "Chinese and German artists are not familiar with each other';s art style". To make this exhibition more enjoyable, the organizer uses a new way to understand and share art. The works in this exhibition will be presented through multimedia interactions. The visual effect, which is built in the format of "blind date", will be an unusual culture dialogue between Chinese and Germany artists. There will most certainly be some "deep cultural discussions". The artists will keep their personal opinions to themselves and "talk art" only. This should result in a "most memorable experience" for all.
The "Fortress and Eggs Plan" is the works by the Chinese artist Wong Peijun. From the name, it seems that there isn';t any relation among fragile eggs, tough weapon and firm building. But the artist combines these totally different elements well. This combination of combative and fragile natures is not "to tease you", but to present the serious concern about whether the world we are living in, is as strong as it looks.
But the work by the German artist Carsten Gliese, named "boxes", presents a dialogue among pictures, buildings, sculpture and space. The connection between real 3D space world and 2D space of pictures presents us with an unreal carpet phantom, projecting on white ground, the road side cornerstone and encircled lawn. The secret light shot can make the whole space full of mystery.
Huang Xuebin produces "thousands of feet rays" with the night vision technical photography. There is only a lonely girl in his former works. Now, he adds a spaceman to present us a dreamland in which there are lonely girl, spaceman, pictures and an empty avenue.
Guo Shujun produces "Shopping Mall" with wide- angle photography. A space which seems (to be) busy and crowded discloses a kind of inexplicable loneliness and emptiness.
Next, the "Fashion Man" from Xie Xianwen. What are the most up-to-date topics? Super girl? Social insurance? Kids education? All of these questions may be answered by a cartoon toy. Money, brand, and idol present the uncertainty of our society and Chinese culture may be going nowhere under all these kinds of entertainments. What should we do to protect our culture? What should we pursue?
In the work "What happened to the planes?" of Wang Xiaofei, 2000 small planes line up and start the formation change in the picture. In a short while, a slogan comes up. But a huge plane follows up closely. The Airplane hides the combative nature, but appears with a irrelevant slogan which says "what happened to the planes?" . The small planes lining up look like an airplane game in the earliest PC Game. But they present a kind of stressful feeling through the massive stacks. Is that weapon or game?
"The aviation high speed Yacht on the Pacific Ocean " of Anja Jensen is about a container which is checked with X ray. The X ray shows us every detail inside (of) the box. How about the privacy of our society? No privacy! Anything under the X ray is no longer mysterious.
The artists are the representation of their respective cultures. "Blind Date" not only shows the real situation of the global communication environment, but the relationship among the different cultures in the international art world. The exhibition will display an interesting and meaningful dialogue through the "blind date" of the two artists from the two countries. This exhibit wants the artists and audience to exchange, share and appreciate all the thoughts that can make art a "truly international language".
