1961 出生于中国新疆
1985 毕业于山东工艺美术学院
1996-1999 受德国柏林市政府邀请任艺术大使, 曾任教于柏林艺术大学 (德国)
1999 至今生活在波士顿 (美国)
2007 任教于中央美院担任研究生导师（北京）
